The Most Complex Casino

I t's possible that I don't know what I'm talking about concerning this, but when it comes to politics it's possible that nobody , not even those who originate policy know what they're talking about concerning its real world implications—as it seems that any policy will have unintended consequences for some group of people or other. Nonetheless, the overall tone of the Trump administration seems old-fashion in a not good way. Its idea of bringing back coal jobs like it's 1930. And, the notion that one man is gonna waltz in there like a fast talking 1950's Hudsucker style entrepreneur and revamp the whole thing like it's a casino seems out of touch. Towards the onset of the 21st century, many people online were discussing globalization as a bad thing, meanwhile those who were for it seemed to be the wealthy business and political magnates. Now, the populous seems about 50/50 on it. From my perspective, it also appears that the concept of Glob...

Ridiculous Politics

(And Social Media) (Image unrelated. Screw you guys, I don't have time.) When George W. Bush was president I felt like I was locked in a Texas saloon, in a small town, and W was being belligerent to everyone, but I couldn't do anything about it because he was the son of the town mayor. - As it goes with these things, I'm sure that if I ran into him today and conversed he'd seem like an OK guy. When you meet people who've been written and talked about, seldom are they the boogieman that the media made them out to be. You can say "Hi" and chat with your opposition party neighbor just fine, so long as you guys don't talk about politics. The Bush years were my introduction to politics in media, before then, I didn't care. Those years were also the first to have the internet going at full force. Social media was already born, and more-and-more newspapers were taking to the internet. Within those years I saw millions protest war ...

Integrity Keeps the Cloth We're Made Of

The above image is the interior of a battleship. I looked for a free stock photo for this post, but didn't have much time. The pic is cool as hell nonetheless. I n case you haven't heard. Donald Trump is the president of the worlds foremost military power. I'm certainly generally Left of Center when it comes to politics. The rundown for what's happened the past couple of months goes like this. 1. Trump won the election, 2. The Left lost their shit while The Right kept their Trump signs in their yard for well-after the election. 3. Protests and some riots broke out. People were protesting Trump in general, and his administration's travel ban. 4. From here, it looks like The Left all of a sudden hates Russia. And my last point is why I'm writing this. I thought we wanted to be friends with Russia? I don't know Putin. I don't know Trump, Hillary, or any politician really (But I felt I knew Bernie Sanders due to the integrity of his record, ...

I Will Matter To You

P aying attention to politics means having to fill my mind with the image and sound of many awful people. A corrupt politician holds my mind hostage in a sense, because if I'm going to try to understand or even help the situation I have to know a good deal about them and what's going on. These are people I'd rather avoid. Cross the street if I saw them coming. But, they've carved out places for themselves between my resources and I, between my future and I, essentially forcing me to know their name and face, as if I “loved” them or held their mental image in my mind by choice. Fortunately I've learned how to skim articles for key information, and how to play video exposes at a faster speed than normal. For the most part, politics in this country is too-often a car accident that I can't look away from, on a highway that I can't realistically exit. At the risk of some online displaying their values by pointing out that what I'm abo...

Religious People vs. the LGBT Community

I do my best to stay out of the Religious People vs. the LGBT community discussion, simply because I find the whole questioning of peoples rights in this case  completely ridiculous , and a collosal waste of time in a world where we have lot's of important work to do that's unrelated to what people are doing in their bedroom, which is none of your business  in the first place. Recently, a debacle happened which dragged the LGBT community into it, and a fairly popular chicken restaurant in the U.S. I call this restaurant Gay-fil-A, because now every time I see their logo anywhere I think of gay people. So, self-righteous religious people in The South went out in drones (the way religious people tend to do), and bought chicken sandwiches for Jesus. I think it was for Jesus, or for the Bible which Jesus is in, you can't have one without the other. (Here's a picture of this)  I bet you Jesus was  tripping out that these people were supporting the...

La La Land & The Real World

Unrealistic Israeli Cell Phone Advert is quite disgusting as they play football with the unseen, faceless horde on the opposite side of a 10 meter wall. And here is a proportionate response. Palestinians made their own ad in response to the Israeli cell phone ad. One side is armed to the teeth with tanks and Apache helicopters while the other side scrambles in the streets.

Bill O'Reilly

Foolish People News is becoming like the Jerry Springer Show. It doesn't feel good to be labeled without evidence. Famous Quotes "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP!" "Be quiet! I'm right and your wrong!" "I stand for good! You stand for evil!" Indiana University research study of, O'Reilly during a six-month period. Published in the Journal Journalism Studies ... "The seven propaganda devices include: * Name calling -- giving something a bad label to make the audience reject it without examining the evidence; * Glittering generalities -- the opposite of name calling; * Card stacking -- the selective use of facts and half-truths; * Bandwagon -- appeals to the desire, common to most of us, to follow the crowd; * Plain folks -- an attempt to convince an audience that they, and their ideas, are "of the people"; * Transfer -- carries over the authority, sanction and prestige of something we respect or dispute to ...

Obama - Is This Image Acceptable?

Why yes? Why no?

Recounting Election Fraud

I n case you even care about this kinda crap. I try and pretend I don't, but I do (otherwise why would I even be writing about this right?) , and sometimes I hate that. You can stand in one of four places when it comes to the subject of politics... (a) You deeply care and get involved, because the decisions of others affect your life. (b) You kinda care and kinda get involved, because you are mostly in control of your life. (c) You are above it and don't get involved, because you are in complete control of your life, and are handling the issues within it. (d) You are a homeless schizophrenic and don't even know what I'm talking about cause your not even reading this. (a) People can be as annoying and dogmatic as a religious person trying to convert you. Yet, (a) people are indispensable and unbeknownst to (b) , (c) , and (d) people, they are the ones keeping government from becoming totally fascist and tyrannical. Furthermore, in the arena of polit...

Perpetual Witch-Hunts

● www.GoliathFlores.com If history repeated itself would you even notice? I nto the far reaches of modern history. Groups of people have been attacked and labeled witches. Here is a loose time line of these events using the context of witches... Concerning North America: 1619 - ? African Witches 1692 Salem Witch-Hunts 1935 Jewish Witchcraft 1942 Japanese Witchcraft 1950 Communist Witches 2002 Maher Arar the Syrian Witch 2007 - ? The Muslim Terrorist Crusades During the Salem Witch hunts people were cited witches for many reasons. Here are two examples. If someone fell ill they blamed the spooky lady who lived under a tree, or sometimes someone with more social power wanted a womans oil... I mean land. I'm getting ahead of myself. They deemed her a witch. (Pointing at you = Witch) Throughout the U.S. Africans have been seen as witches. (African = Witch) In Germany there was the Jewish Holocaust. Many Germans fell for the propaganda of their leader, who proc...
